It's not long until Spring now; the 1st March is just around the corner, the days are ever so slowly becoming longer and I am more than a little bit excited to break out the pastel shades, put my winter coat away and see some sunshine. In this spirit, at the weekend I gave my nails a bit of a Spring-apt overhaul using three of my favourite pastel-coloured nail polishes.

If you caught my Done List May 2016 post, you'll know that in a bid to be a bit healthier and more mindful with my list writing, I've started a monthly 'Done List' sharing snippets of the past month. These snippets might simply be things that made me happy, things I've done, things I've made or things I've achieved.

There's not long left until Valentine's Day now so if you're planning on making anything special for the occasion, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to get your craft on. These DIY's above are just a handful of those that I've stumbled across and loved, but hopefully these will give you a bit of inspiration.

Ok, so I have a confession... I don't do Valentines. But, I do love a theme and I particularly love themes when it comes to crafting (who doesn't?). After Christmas (the ultimate theme in my opinion), Valentine's Day does help to fill the post-festive-crafting-theme-void a little, and so this year I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll have seen that for Christmas I was lucky enough to get a One Sketch A Day Journal. It's funny how quickly you integrate something like this into your life and I've found myself over the last month or so carrying it with me wherever I go - just incase I have a moment to doodle. I love how the space for each day is not that large and that each page is split into two days. For someone like me who finds a large blank page a bit intimidating it's the perfect size; large enough to do a quick sketch but not so large that you feel like you need to create a 'work of art'. I've been pleasantly surprised at how I've kept it up, with all the pressures of my course this year I was worried I wouldn't, but I've used it a bit like a visual diary; drawing things or hand-lettering quotes that relate to what I did that day or to how I was feeling, and I think that this has actually helped keep me grounded (and sane!) throughout. Here are a few of my doodles from January 2017 (how did that happen again?!), which although are far from perfect, were interesting for me to look back on and which, I hope, you will enjoy looking at too!
