Add some boho charm to your Christmas tree with these floral boho wooden tree ornaments!
I love all the wooden and earthy tones around this year, and got me thinking about how to add some to my tree. Although I do have glittery baubles on my tree, I’m avoiding buying anymore and generally trying to avoid glitter in my wrapping and gifts. Filling the gaps in my tree with some DIY Christmas decorations that were more natural and boho felt like a great alternative. I love a good tassel so knew that I wanted to incorporate one into my design but otherwise just experimented and had fun until I came up with this. I’m really pleased with how they turned out and love how they ground the more glitzy and shiny baubles on my tree. If scandi boho glam is a thing, I think my tree is nailing it! Push the end of the macrame cord through a bead.

Tie a double knot (this needs to be larger than the hole in the bead) and cut off the cord below this to the length of the tassel you want.

Unpick the macrame cord below this knot and brush out to create a tassel.

Cut off the cord at the top of the bead ensuring you have plenty. Push the end of this back into the bead and tie a knot against the bead to create a loop to hang the ornament.

Using a permanent marker or brush marker (I used Le Plume markers in brown and green) add a simply floral pattern all over. To create mine, I first added a curved line for the stem, and then added leaves either side in a staggered way.
